Trinity Perry and her drawing... |
Ambient Noises and other notes... I always enjoyed albums that threw sound effects and other ambient noises into the mix. I was a huge fan of Pink Floyd growing up. In my own albums, I use ambient recordings to set the mood for the tracks to follow. Seeing as I am one for crossing genres and styles, the little soundclips make for nice links from one song to the next. Hallelujah - The nature was recorded on some property outside Mosier Oregon called The Land. More than any of my other recordings, Bible Milk comes from nature. I gave a lot of freedom to the other musicians to add what they felt rather than what I wanted. It is a testimony to their good tastes that the album turned out so well. This is a Cow - Just one of many kid toys lying about my friend's house (they have two littles...). I thought this little bit of silliness helped to set up Chain Drinker. Incestitute – Life Sucks! A product of the mind of Joel. Joel Zeigler is a lifelong friend of mine and frequent contributor to my albums. He is a gregarious individual and frequently says the strangest things (which I enjoy). He performs bass on Chain Drinker and Stick With Me on Bible Milk. Puking Rainbows - After Brave New World and Cold Rain, arguably the darkest act in the album, I wanted something to lighten things back up. This interaction with little Trinity Perry was just the ticket. |
